Uzoma Obi, Esq.

Uzoma has a diverse mix of legal, business and accounting skills gained from his extensive academic training and broad-based work experience. 

Uzoma was formerly a Senior Consultant at Carefirst Blue Cross Blue Shield, Inc., where he provided a variety of internal audit and consulting services to improve operational performance and ensure full compliance with applicable (Medicare/Medicaid) state and federal statutes and contractual agreements. Prior to Carefirst, Uzoma worked as a Senior Associate at KPMG LLP and Bert Smith & Co., where he provided a variety of external audit and consulting services that span business process and SOP implementation, enterprise risk management, internal controls/SOX compliance and change management projects. 

In his role as the Principal Attorney at the Law Office of Uzoma Obi, Uzoma draws on his diverse and broad experience to help clients across a number of practice areas with primary focus in Personal Injury, Workers Compensation and Business Law. He approaches every legal challenge from a practical and holistic perspective and designs legal solutions that are comprehensive as well as actionable with respect to the specific client’s situation.

Uzoma holds an undergraduate degree in Accounting from the University of the District of Columbia and earned his Law Degree from the University of Maryland School of Law. Uzoma is also licensed as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) by the Maryland State Board of Public Accountancy and he is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association. Uzoma is admitted to practice law by the Court of Appeals of Maryland, and all state courts in Maryland, the United States Court for the District of Maryland, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
